He took his last breath in the arms of his family,\u201d Northrop\u2019s wife, Lynn Herring Northrop, said in a statement.\n</p><p>\u201cWe wish to thank the most caring and amazing place, The Motion Picture and Television Home for taking such great care of him,\u201d she added. \u201cWayne touched so many people with his sense of humor and wit. Firefighters\u201d and \u201cCold Case\u201d and the TV movies \u201cNever Say Never: The Deidre Hall Story\u201d (1995) and \u201cThe Haunting of Lisa\u201d (1996).\n</p><p>Northrop married his wife Lynn, 67, in 1981.\n</p><p>Lynn was Miss Virginia USA 1977 and was the 4th runner-up in Miss USA 1977.\n</p><p>She has played Lucy Coe on-and-off on \u201cGeneral Hospital\u201d and \u201cPort Charles\u201d since 1986.
