{"id":65408,"date":"2024-01-15T10:35:23","date_gmt":"2024-01-15T03:35:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alternatech.net\/?p=65408"},"modified":"2024-06-20T08:59:12","modified_gmt":"2024-06-20T01:59:12","slug":"a-man-finds-a-wallet-with-700-in-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/justmetalking.com\/a-man-finds-a-wallet-with-700-in-it\/","title":{"rendered":"A Man Finds A Wallet With $700 In It"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style='\"font-size:'>A man finds a wallet with $700 in it.\n<p><span style='\"font-size:'>A few days later, he reads a notice stating that a wealthy man has lost his wallet and is offering a $50 reward to anyone who returns it:\n<p><span style='\"font-size:'>He soon locates the owner and gives him the wallet and the rich man counts the money and says.\n<p><span style='\"font-size:'><strong>\u201cI see you have already taken your reward.\u201d\n<p><span style='\"font-size:'>The poor old man responds.\n<p><span style='\"font-size:'><strong>\u201cWhat are you talking about?\u201d\n<p><span style='\"font-size:'>The wealthy man continues.\n<p><span style='\"font-size:'><strong>\u201cThis wallet had $750 in it when I lost it.\u201d\n<p><span style='\"font-size:'>The two men begin arguing, and eventually, they go to court to sort out their differences.\n<p><span style='\"font-size:'>Both men present their case, the poor man first, then the wealthy man who concludes by saying.\n<p><span style='\"font-size:'><strong>\u201cYour Honor, I trust you believe me.\u201d\n<p><span style='\"font-size:'>The elderly Judge says.<strong> \u201cOf course.\u201d The rich man smiles and the old poor man is devastated.\n<p><span style='\"font-size:'>Then the Judge takes the wallet out of the wealthy man\u2019s hands and gives it to the poor old man who found it.\n<p><span style='\"font-size:'><strong>\u201cWhat are you doing?\u201d The rich man yells angrily.\n<p><span style='\"font-size:'>The elderly Judge responds.\n<p><span style='\"font-size:'><strong>\u201cYou are, of course, an honest man and if you say that your missing wallet had $750 in it, I\u2019m sure it did, but if the man who found this wallet is a liar and a thief, he wouldn\u2019t have returned it at all, which means that this wallet must belong to somebody else. If that man steps forward, he\u2019ll get the money, otherwise, it stays with the man who found it.\u201d\n<p><span style='\"font-size:'><strong>\u201cWhat about my money?\u201d The rich man asks.\n<p><span style='\"font-size:'><strong>\u201cWell, we\u2019ll just have to wait until somebody finds your wallet with the $750 in it.\u201d\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A man finds a wallet with $700 in it.
